Located within the balance of plant, fuel oil forwarding pumps, transfer pumps and systems either move fuel between tanks, through treatment facilities or directly to the gas turbine. Our pumps support single or dual fuel systems in a traditional fossil fired or engine driven power plant. Colfax provides a user pumps in three screw, two screw or centrifugal configuration through the Imo, Allweiler, Houttuin, Tushaco, Warren and Imo AB business units.

Our global application expertise and experience allow us to fulfill a wide variety of requirements with either rotary positive displacement or centrifugal pump technology. Colfax fuel oil transfer pumps and forwarding pumps have been called upon to move a variety of fluids including distillate oil, crude oil, residual oil and kerosene for power plants located across the globe and our systems have been designed to support continuous or stand-by operation at constant pressure.

Colfax provides systems for pumping between tanks and treatment stations (transfer) from the tank to the gas turbine (forwarding) and from a barge to the tank (unloading). Working in tandem with either the Engineering Procurement Company (EPC) or turbine manufacturer, Colfax has designed systems with the highest availability, constant flow and capacity delivery, electronic system and instrumentation with optional heating, insulation or explosion protection.
