Located within the turbine island, fuel injection pumps and systems support the mission critical injection function by supplying fuel directly into the turbine or boiler system. Our pumps traditionally support either single or dual fuel systems in the traditional fossil fired or engine driven power plants.

Reliable Pump Operation in a Critical to Quality Application

In a pump application, a fuel oil injection pump provides fuel to the turbine system to support the combustion reaction. Pump configurations vary, but usually include some level of redundancy in the system; however they must work when called on. Reliability and durability are paramount in this mission critical application and Colfax pumps have been recognized for their ability to work when called upon. Our pumps excel in a variety of conditions including high pressure/low viscosity and can provide liquid flow up to 3,300 GPM (12,492 LPM). Fuel injection pumps are provided by our Imo, Allweiler, Tushaco, Imo AB and Warren business units and in either a three or two screw product configuration.

Fuel Injection Systems primarily supply the gas turbine system in a dual fuel power plant configuration. Our engineers are aware of the mission critical function of the fuel injection system and take the required actions to ensure efficient and smooth delivery of the fuel. Depending on the job requirements, Colfax systems can utilize fuel oil recirculation systems to discourage settling, quick closing valves to dampen pressure impact and double filters to reduce fuel line contamination.
