About Kinetic and Centrifugal Pumps
Kinetic / Centrifugal pumps are the dominant pump covering 80%+ of fluid handling installations. A centrifugal pump uses a rotating element called an impeller to create flow. Flow can be altered by the speed of the impeller. Said another way‚ a kinetic or centrifugal pump places velocity energy to the fluid‚ which is converted to pressure energy upon exiting the pump casing.
