General Industrial: Pulp Paper
Colfax serves a broad range of positive displacement applications in the Pulp and Paper Industry with a twin screw pump manufactured by the Warren Pumps Business Unit.
Known as a High Density Thick Stock Pump‚ the Warren 2600 series of pumps have been recognized as a superior method of conveying paper stock in the industry for over 40 years.
With the twin screw pump‚ paper pulp can be processed through a bleach plant and to and from storage in stock consistencies in excess of 20%. The ability to reliably handle consistencies in this range is unmatched by any other pump technology which provides additional storage capacity or reduced bleaching time. There is also the savings of processing less water and chemicals that result from handling lower consistency pulp.

Additionally‚ we provide systems to maintain and extend the life of equipment used to manufacture products in the Pulp and Paper market‚ such as the ThermoJet® Oil Purifier and the LubriMist® Oil Mist system from Lubrication Systems Company (LSC)‚ a Colfax Business Unit. The ThermoJet® Oil Purifier is an on-line oil purification system that removes free and dissolved water and light hydrocarbons from lubricants and hydraulic oils‚ returning the viscosity of lube oil and restoring the flash point of the oil to like-new levels.
The centralized lubrication system‚ LubriMist® Oil Mist‚ supplies a lean mixture of low-pressure‚ atomized lubricating oil to individual pieces of equipment‚ lengthening the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and extending equipment life.
