Shaping the future of fabrication.

ESAB is a world leader in the production of welding and cutting equipment and consumables. Colfax Corporation acquired ESAB in 2012 to set the foundation for a new growth platform with a strong global footprint.

The founder of ESAB discovered the welding process in 1904. Ever since, the brand has been shaping the future of welding and cutting by delivering efficient, high-productivity solutions to customers in the world’s biggest manufacturing industries. Voice-of-customer research is at the heart of the company’s new product development, allowing ESAB to make meaningful improvements that deliver real impacts.

ESAB Digital Solutions.

In 2018, ESAB launched ESAB Digital Solutions to help fabricators and manufacturers drive continuous improvement in weld traceability, documentation, asset management, productivity, and quality. This first-of-its-kind platform was developed in partnership with Microsoft Azure and ThingWorx from PTC. Now, plant operators have access to welding data to reduce costs, grade welds, and improve the overall quality of their work.

Creating better manufacturing together.

As fabrication enters the 21st century, there is increasing pressure to develop new methods, materials, and knowledge to meet the challenges posed by the industry sectors we serve. With the backing of Colfax, ESAB’s business structure has been optimized to ensure we are continuously providing accessible expertise, exceptional productivity, and data-driven innovation across all the market segments ESAB serves while continuing its rapid growth.
