Leadership Bios

Matthew L. Trerotola | President and Chief Executive Officer

Matt Trerotola is Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Colfax Corporation.  Prior to joining Colfax in July 2015, he was DuPont’s Executive Vice President and a member of the Office of the Chief Executive.  In this role, he was responsible for DuPont’s $6.3 billion Electronics & Communications and Safety & Protection segments, as well as having corporate responsibility for Asia-Pacific. 

Mr. Trerotola has spent most of his career in various roles at DuPont, Danaher, and McKinsey & Company.  Prior to joining DuPont, Mr. Trerotola held a number of leadership positions at Danaher Corporation, where he was most recently Vice President and Group Executive for Life Sciences from 2012 to 2013, and oversaw a group comprised of four companies, approximately 7,000 associates and $2.5 billion in revenue.  Previously at Danaher, he was Group Executive for Product Identification from 2009 to 2012, and President of the Videojet business from 2007 to 2009.  In these roles, he greatly accelerated organic growth and made acquisitions that both strengthened and redefined the group.

Throughout his career at DuPont, which started in 1989, Mr. Trerotola held a number of leadership positions at the Company. Many of his roles at DuPont involved applied innovation to improve margins and accelerate growth in global businesses.

While at McKinsey & Company from 1995 to 1999, Mr. Trerotola focused primarily on helping industrial companies accelerate growth. He worked in the Cleveland (Ohio), Brussels and Prague offices. 

Mr. Trerotola received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia in 1989 and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 1995.

Christopher Hix | Senior Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer

Chris most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer of OM Group, Inc., a $1.5B, global, publicly-listed diversified industrial company.  He served within OM Group from 2012 until the company’s acquisition in late 2015.  Prior to this assignment, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Robbins & Myers, a $1.0B, global publicly-listed diversified industrial company from 2006-2011.  Prior to this, Mr. Hix spent 13 years in a variety of operating and financial roles of increasing responsibility within Roper Industries, a global industrial and technology company that underwent rapid growth and transitioned from private to public ownership during his tenure.

Shyam Kambeyanda | Senior Vice President of Colfax Corporation and President of ESAB

Shyam most recently served as the President Americas for Eaton Corporation’s Hydraulics Group.  Prior to taking on this assignment is 2013, Mr. Kambeyanda served as Regional President of the Asia Pacific Region for the Hydraulics Group from 2010 to 2013.  Prior to these assignments, Mr. Kambeyanda spent several years serving as the Managing Director of India Operations at Eaton Corporation, where he oversaw all the company’s operations in the region and was responsible for developing growth strategies to build Eaton’s overall presence and success in India.  Mr. Kambeyanda joined Eaton in 1995 in the Automotive Group and has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, quality, e-commerce, product strategy, and operations management in the U.S., Mexico, Europe and Asia.  

Mr. Kambeyanda holds bachelor’s degrees in physics and general science from Coe College in Iowa and in electrical engineering from Iowa State University.  He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Brady R. Shirley | Chief Executive Officer of DJO

Brady Shirley was appointed DJO Chief Executive Officer, November 14, 2016. Prior to this, Brady served as the President of our DJO Surgical business, a position he was appointed to in March of 2014. From 2009 to 2013, Brady was the CEO and Director of Innovative Medical Device Solutions (“IMDS”), a company that provides comprehensive product development, manufacturing and supply chain management solutions for medical device companies within the orthopedic medical device industry. At IMDS, Brady managed the integration of four companies, consolidated the capital structure and led a successful sale of the business in 2013. From December 1992 to August 2009, Brady had several key leadership positions with Stryker Corporation, including President of Stryker Communications and Senior Vice President of Stryker Endoscopy.

Ian Brander | Chief Executive Officer of Howden

Ian Brander has been the Chief Executive Officer of Howden since August 2011. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer of Howden, he served as Operations Director beginning in 2008. His experience includes over 20 years at Howden in various roles in technical, project, commercial and general management positions associated with a wide range of products. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Strathclyde.

Jason MacLean | Senior Vice President, Colfax Business System & Supply Chain

Jason MacLean became Senior Vice President of the Colfax Business System and Supply Chain in October of 2017. Prior to Colfax‚ he was Vice President of Advanced Analytics at Cummins, Inc., where he held previous positions as head of supply chain for the company and Vice President of Supply Chain and Manufacturing for the Power Generation division. Prior to Cummins, Jason held senior supply chain roles at retailer Borders Inc. as well as startup uBid.  Jason began his career at Bain & Company as a consultant. Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and earned both an MBA in Finance and a Masters in International Studies from the Wharton School of Business and the Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania.

Daniel A. Pryor | Executive Vice President, Strategy & Business Development

Daniel A. Pryor is Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for Colfax Corporation. Mr. Pryor served as Senior Vice President‚ Strategy and Business Development of Colfax from January 2011 through July 2013. Prior to Colfax‚ he was a Partner and Managing Director with The Carlyle Group‚ where he focused on industrial leveraged buyouts and led numerous portfolio company and follow-on acquisitions. Prior to Carlyle‚ he spent 11 years at Danaher Corporation in roles of increasing responsibility‚ most recently as Vice President – Strategic Development. Mr. Pryor earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA in Economics from Williams College.

Patricia Lang | Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer

Patty Lang was appointed Colfax Corporation Senior Vice President‚ Chief Human Resources Officer in 2019. Patty brings significant expertise with more than 25 years in human resources and related fields as well as great, in-depth knowledge and experience in the diligence, acquisition and successful integration of complex multicultural companies. Most recently Patty was the Chief People Officer for Diebold Nixdorf and was responsible for managing employee-focused initiatives across the organization for more than 24,000 employees. Prior to joining Diebold Nixdorf, Patty held a number of human resource and operations leadership positions at companies such as Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Consol Energy, Mercer Consulting and Cigna. Patty holds a business degree with a concentration in information technology and management from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Additionally, she holds various certifications in human capital management, mergers and acquisitions, global employee benefits including C.E.B.S, as well as complex project management, lean manufacturing business systems & the Toyota production system.

Bradley J. Tandy | Senior Vice President and Interim General Counsel

Brad Tandy was appointed Colfax Corporation Senior Vice President and Interim General Counsel in 2019. Brad also continues to serve in his capacity as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of DJO Global, Inc. Prior to joining DJO, Brad served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Biomet, Inc. from 2006 through 2014. Prior to serving as General Counsel, Brad served as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Biomet from 1999 through 2006. He joined Biomet as Assistant General Counsel in 1992. Prior to his employment at Biomet, Brad was a partner in the law firm of Rasor, Harris, Lemon & Reed in Warsaw, Indiana, focusing his practice on representation of medical device and healthcare companies. He was an elected public official in Kosciusko County, Indiana, serving as a County Councilman for 22 years. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from DePauw University and earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence at Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana.
